Cloud overview
Search and share your coding agent sessions across projects and machines.
#
Bring your sessions together
SpecStory Cloud stores the sessions you sync from the extensions or CLI. Your local Markdown files remain in your projects. Cloud gives you one place to find a past prompt, revisit a decision, or share the context behind a change.
#
What you can do
- Sync sessions from your editors and terminal agents.
- Search your history and narrow results by project or time.
- Share a session with a public link and control which exchanges are visible.
- Use the API to retrieve or search your history programmatically.
Analytics and skills add ways to understand and reuse your history. Access depends on your Cloud plan.

Control what syncs
Local capture works without a Cloud account. In the extensions, choose which projects sync. In the CLI, authenticated runs can sync automatically; use --no-cloud-sync or disable [cloud_sync] in your configuration to keep them local.
Synced sessions remain private unless you enable sharing. Learn about sharing controls.
