RunStory overview

RunStory checks what your coding agent changes actually do. It is in private alpha.

#

Background testing from your intent

RunStory considers your prompts and code changes to decide what to test. A testing agent uses your software in a separate environment, tries relevant workflows, and checks the results while you keep working.

#

The verification loop

  1. It uses your software to exercise the behavior affected by a change.
  2. It reports failures to your coding agent with the actions it took and evidence of the unexpected result.
  3. It verifies the fix by repeating the failing workflow after your coding agent makes the change.

How it fits with SpecStory

SpecStory saves the prompts and decisions from your coding agent sessions. RunStory uses intent and changes to check software behavior. Saving a conversation with SpecStory does not itself test the software.

Private alpha

RunStory is in private alpha. These docs explain the product's workflow; setup and integration instructions will be added as alpha access expands.
