SpecStory

SpecStory saves the prompts and decisions from your coding agent sessions. Your extensions or CLI write local Markdown files as you work. You can read them in your project, reuse them in another session, and sync them to Cloud to search and share.

  • Extensions: save conversations in Cursor or VS Code with GitHub Copilot.
  • CLI: capture terminal agent sessions, export past conversations, and resume work.
  • Cloud: bring synced sessions together to search across projects and share context.

The extensions and CLI are free. The CLI is open source. Cloud has a free plan; features such as analytics and skills depend on your plan.

RunStory

RunStory uses your prompts and code changes to decide what to test. It runs your software in a separate environment, sends reproducible failures to your coding agent, and checks the resulting fix.

RunStory is in private alpha. Read how it works →

Build with your history

Use the Cloud API to access projects, retrieve sessions, and search your synced conversations. Use skills to turn recurring workflows from those sessions into instructions your agents can reuse.
